Handmade Ceramic Shell Dish, Food Safe

A hand-built shell dish with a softly scalloped edge, gentle ridges, hand applied spiral on the rim , glazed in a satin alabaster glaze. It looks like something the tide left behind, and it’s made to be used.

It’s food safe, so it works as an appetizer plate, olive or nut dish, butter dish, dip tray, or a spot for sliced fruit and cheese. It’s just as lovely holding jewelry, rings, or soap by the sink, or sitting empty as a sculptural piece on a table or shelf.

A single tiny pink dot rests on the surface like a grain of coral sand, a small mark left by the kiln.
